The KYC Credentials project creates a digital platform that allows users to establish a self-sovereign identity by verifying their data once and securely storing it in a digital wallet. This reusable credential is shared with online services, minimising repeated verifications and ensuring only necessary data is shared. The solution prioritises user control, privacy, and fraud prevention, offering a seamless 5-minute process for managing digital identities. By addressing privacy concerns with a consent-based system and simplifying the complex verification process into an intuitive workflow, the project enhances user experience while maintaining security and regulatory compliance.
